Dat Conference: The Summary

On the 30th & 31st of July, we had the chance to converge the Dat Community online on a unique two-day event. All actors - from enthusiasts and the curious to core developers and multiple projects’ creators - came together to refresh the whole Dat ecosystem.

Dat Protocol renamed Hypercore Protocol

The "Dat Protocol" has been renamed to the "Hypercore Protocol" and created a new organization for governing its tech. The "Dat community" will continue as the collective of teams and projects that have evolved from the original Dat CLI project.

Based on statements released last week, Max Ogden has resigned from all leadership positions at Dat and Code for Science & Society while we evaluate his long-term involvement. We decided on these actions through discussion with the CSS board, the Dat community, and external advisors.
